Another life saved by LFD- this time a cat’s 🐱🐈‍⬛

Thanks to Engine 2032 and Truck 2051, this kitty wasn’t only rescued from a drain, but also found a new home after being adopted by the nearby building owners. 💜💜💜

Congratulations to Firefighter Daniel Moody on successfully completing his one-year probation! 👏🏼 👨‍🚒 🚒

Born in Walnut Creek and raised in Brentwood, Daniel graduated from Heritage High School before beginning his career in the fire service. Prior to joining the Lodi Fire Department in 2025, he served with the Stockton Fire Department.

Growing up, Daniel spent most of his time outdoors riding dirt bikes and exploring the Bay Area, experiences that helped shape the teamwork, resilience and dedication he brings to the job today.

We’re proud to have Firefighter Moody on the Lodi Fire team and look forward to his continued service to our community!

🚑 CENCAL Fire & EMS Authority Launches Regional Ambulance Service in San Joaquin County 🚒

San Joaquin County, CA — At 8:00 a.m. on May 1, 2026, the CENCAL Fire and EMS Authority officially began providing ambulance services across San Joaquin County, marking a major milestone in regional emergency medical care.

Formed through a Joint Powers Authority, CENCAL represents a partnership between the City of Stockton, City of Lodi, and the South San Joaquin County Fire Authority. The system will serve approximately 660,000 residents across more than 1,100 square miles.

Ambulance services will be delivered through a public-private partnership with American Medical Response (AMR), with coordinated dispatch services provided through a centralized system.

Partnering for the ultimate protection of our Lodi community. 💪🏼

Lodi Electric Utility recently hosted the Lodi Fire Department for a hands-on review of the hazards and safety precautions involved when firefighting around electrical power sources.

When Lodi’s electricity provider and fire/EMS teams train together, it creates a powerhouse of protection—for first responders, lineworkers and everyone we serve 👨‍🚒🔥⚡️

🪢 Bring in or anchor outdoor furniture, hanging plants, toys, and garbage cans
🪾Cut branches that are dead or hanging over your home or vehicle
🚙 Park cars in a garage or away from trees and power lines
