*I’m handsome and I know it*

Brody here! I recently visited our friends at the Lodi Fire Department and honestly, it was the best day of my life. I couldn’t believe all the attention and I made SO many new best friends. I leaned on each and every firefighter (my signature move, gets ‘em every time!) and everyone loved me. When I tried to drive the truck they said I wasn’t “qualified”- whatever that means.

The staff at LAS keep bringing me to all kinds of events and honestly, I’m amazing. My outgoing personality and go-with-the-flow attitude make me a perfect leisure adventure partner- take me out on the town and watch me shine!!

I’m a year and a half- young enough to be excited about the new coffee shop in town but too old to chew your new shoes. I love lady dog friends, and strangers, and outings, and firefighters, and playing dress-up, and kids rubbing my belly, and naps, and snacks, and if you play your cards right, YOU!

I am SO excited to meet you! I’m currently staying at the shelter and my dance card has available space Wednesday through Saturday from 11-3:30! (The nicest people of LASF are even covering my adoption fees!)

DEPLOYMENT UPDATE 🔥

Lodi Fire is currently assisting firefighting efforts in Oregon on the Hat Fire and Grasshopper Fire.

A Lodi Fire Captain is serving as a Division/Group Supervisor, responsible for managing and coordinating large-scale wildland fire suppression operations. —> 𝙊𝙣 𝘼𝙪𝙜 12, 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚.

Four of our crew members are staffing our OES Engine and are a part of a strike team.

Stockton Fire Department: DEPLOYMENT UPDATE 🚒

Our Stockton Fire crews continue to support communities and firefighters beyond our city through mutual aid.

After five days assisting with the Gann Fire in Calaveras County, our crews returned home safely yesterday.

Following a crew change, a fresh team departed Sunday morning for Redmond, Oregon, where they will assist with structure protection at the Rowe Complex Fire.

Before heading north, our crew formed up with strike teams from Lodi Fire Department, City of Turlock - Fire Department, Modesto Fire Department, and Mokelumne Rural Fire District, later joining units from Grass Valley Fire Department as they continued the trip to Oregon together.

We are proud of our crews answering the call wherever help is needed, and grateful to those here at home who continue serving our Stockton community while their fellow firefighters are deployed.

Safe travels to everyone headed north, and stay safe out there.

The Modesto Fire Department has deployed OES Engine 4118, staffed with four firefighters, as part of OES Strike Team 4807A to assist with firefighting efforts on the Gann Fire in Calaveras County.

Our firefighters are assigned to a California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) Type I Fire Engine Strike Team, a group made up of five fire engines and a Strike Team Leader. This strike team is led by a Strike Team Leader from Clements Fire Department and includes firefighters from

• Modesto Fire Department
• Turlock Fire Department
• Stockton Fire Department
• Lodi Fire Department
• Patterson Fire Department

Since arriving yesterday, the strike team has been assigned to structure protection while supporting firefighters holding containment lines to help prevent further fire spread. These assignments help protect homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure while strengthening containment efforts around the incident.

The Modesto Fire Department is proud to serve as a steward of California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) emergency response resources. Our department houses one Type I fire engine, three Type VI wildland fire engines, and an OES Hazardous Materials Response Vehicle. These specialized resources are strategically positioned throughout California and remain housed, maintained, and staffed by local fire departments until they are called upon to support major emergencies such as wildfires, earthquakes, floods, hazardous materials incidents, and other large-scale disasters.

While these firefighters are currently assisting communities impacted by the Gann Fire, Modesto Fire Department remains fully staffed and ready to respond to emergencies throughout our response areas.

We are proud to stand alongside our regional partners in protecting California communities and wish all firefighters assigned to the Gann Fire a safe and successful assignment.

This afternoon we had some unexpected passengers that needed help cooling down in today’s heat. 🐷

Our crews responded to southbound Highway 99 at Kettleman, where a truck carrying 170 pigs had broken down. While the truck was being repaired, our firefighters helped keep the pigs cool with a refreshing shower.

Not exactly the best day for a breakdown, but we’re always happy to lend a hand, especially when it comes to our animal friends. ❤️🚒
