Does anyone else go absolutely BONKERS over adorable toe beans?! Honey was showing off these 10/10 peets and we simply HAD to share the joy.

Honey is the ultimate lady- silly yet dignified, social yet distinguished. She appreciates canine friends that also conduct themselves in a polite and respectful way- especially handsome male dogs!

She can be shy at first, and with those houndy ears you know she's not a gal that holds back telling you how she feels 😍

Your parents are going to love him. Your friends are going to say "Where can I find a guy like that?!" Well look no further- We've got the best guys in town! Hendrick is just one of our many total-package-pooches available for adoption!!

Seriously, this amazing dog keeps getting overlooked at our shelter and we need help networking him. He absolutely loves other dogs- he's an excellent mentor to puppies and a best friend to many other dogs here. He has been amazing strides at finding his courage for new adventures- and after 8 long months of being at the shelter, this sweet soul is so, so ready to find a home of his own.

We just had to share these candid faces from playgroups- you can see the pure joy from miles away ❤️ Playgroups (and enrichment) help keep our dogs as happy, tired, and social as possible while in our care.

❤ Shout out to these local heroes! ❤

When a Good Samaritan realized this precious bean was stuck in their car engine, they sought help from our friends at the Lodi Fire Department. Jumping into action, they rescued this beautiful Snowshoe kitten, who has now been named "Treasure" 😻 Thanks to these amazing firefighters, and TLC from our medical team, Treasure will now get the care and support she needs to grow healthy and strong! She will be available for adoption in about 3 weeks once she's big enough- keep an eye on our website if you're interested!!

Look who had the MOST fun during a recent Doggie Day Out!! Our sweet boy Hendrick was on his best behavior during his big adventure, and volunteer Julie said he was a great boy!

Though he had the best time, there were a few close calls. There was a very large, very scary Portal-to-Nowhere on the wall (a TV) that he found to be very frightening, and a very large, very dangerous mythical creature guarding the patio furniture (a cat) that he barely escaped from.

All told, he just might start writing the next big fantasy novel based on his epic adventure. Can you help him write the next chapter??

We LOVE updates!!

Fettucine was adopted in early July and has settled right in!! She's showing all of us that fetch isn't just for dogs! We are thrilled to see her thriving!

*I'm handsome and I know it*

Brody here! I recently visited our friends at the Lodi Fire Department and honestly, it was the best day of my life. I couldn't believe all the attention and I made SO many new best friends. I leaned on each and every firefighter (my signature move, gets 'em every time!) and everyone loved me. When I tried to drive the truck they said I wasn't "qualified"- whatever that means.

The staff at LAS keep bringing me to all kinds of events and honestly, I'm amazing. My outgoing personality and go-with-the-flow attitude make me a perfect leisure adventure partner- take me out on the town and watch me shine!!

I'm a year and a half- young enough to be excited about the new coffee shop in town but too old to chew your new shoes. I love lady dog friends, and strangers, and outings, and firefighters, and playing dress-up, and kids rubbing my belly, and naps, and snacks, and if you play your cards right, YOU!

I am SO excited to meet you! I'm currently staying at the shelter and my dance card has available space Wednesday through Saturday from 11-3:30! (The nicest people of LASF are even covering my adoption fees!)
