The Lodi Optimist Club has donated $4500 toward renovating baseball dugouts at Goeres Park and the Lodi Fairgrounds.

Club members delivered a check to the third grade class of Laura D'Agostino at the Lodi Elementary School on November 24. The class members sought the grant to improve the appearance of the dugouts with attractive vinyl coverings while heightening player security for baseball and softball participants. Approximately 500 children participate in youth baseball each summer at the diamonds in addition to adult leagues.

"We think this is an excellent project and we are delighted to support it," said Optimist President Bryan Schultz. "We are grateful to everyone whose financial support of Optimist events makes this donation possible to benefit the youth of our community."

The Lodi Optimist Club is proud to support the Lodi Wrestling program with a donation of $5,000 for the newly created space at the Lodi Elementary School for all our youth wrestlers. We are so lucky to live in this community. While many communities are having to cut youth programs and raise prices for its participants. Lodi has organizations that can step in and help with the costs of these youth programs. The most recent example is a newly created space at the Lodi Elementary School for all our youth wrestlers. With the help of the Lodi Optimist Club, L.A.C.E. and Wrestling Booster Club they were able to remodel space at the Lodi Elementary School for all the Lodi area youth. With the creation of a girls wrestling team this has provided a much-needed practice space for our youth grapplers. In attendance with the High School Boys wrestling team are Optimist members, Julian Beld, Bryan Schultz, and Bill Haupt.

We thank all of you who have supported our cause "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" by attending one or more of our fundraising events, One Mother of a Run, Oktoberfest, and our Superbowl Breakfast. We could not do this without the support of 49 Lodi Optimist Members and the support from our community by attending these events

Hello Optimist followers. We are preparing for our next fundraising event, Our Super Bowl
Breakfast! We are looking for sponsors to help cover expenses and maximize the funds we earn for the youth in our community.

We are looking for 2 Touchdown Sponsors at $500 each and your business name will be printed on all the tickets, recognition at the event and on our website. Deadline is October 24th to make the ticket printing deadline.

Field Goal Sponsors $250 , and Extra Point Sponsor $100, will receive event and website recognition.
