The individual who is the subject of the current animal cruelty investigation is not affiliated with the City of Logan Fire Department.

This individual was a member of the Henlawson Volunteer Fire Department. The Henlawson Volunteer Fire Department has been made aware of the situation, is addressing the matter internally, and has released an official statement on its page.

We ask the public to refrain from spreading misinformation and to direct any questions regarding this matter to the appropriate agency. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

🚨 Flood Relief Donation Drive 🚨

The City of Logan is currently collecting flood relief supplies for our neighbors in Northern West Virginia.

Donations may be dropped off at the City of Logan Fire Department. We are loading a truck and trailer today, and they will depart as soon as they are filled with supplies.

If your business, church, civic organization, or community group has been collecting donations, we encourage you to bring them to the fire department today. We will gladly transport your contributions along with the rest of the donated supplies.

All donations are greatly appreciated, and every contribution will help families and communities affected by the recent flooding.

Thank you for your generosity and for supporting our fellow West Virginians during this difficult time. ❤️

This is Jake, the son of one of our own firefighters, Jordan Evans. Jake has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and is facing a very serious surgery tomorrow morning in Cincinnati.

If you know anything about our department, you know we are deeply rooted in faith and believe strongly in the power of prayer. We are asking each and every one of you to lift Jake up in prayer and add him to any prayer chain you may be a part of.

City of Logan Fire Department here with your Safety Tip Saturday.

It’s shaping up to be a beautiful day, with a high of 83° and plenty of sunshine this morning, followed by the chance of thunderstorms with possible small hail later this evening.

With the warm weather, you’ll see more motorcycles out on the roadway—please stay alert and give them a second look. We care about you and want everyone to make it home safe. If you want to see us, stop by but don’t get yourself in a situation where we have to come see you!

If you’re heading out on the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System, take it easy. We’ve already seen heavy traffic coming up from the City of Logan connector, so ride smart and watch out for one another.

And as always, if you experience an emergency, call 911.

Our boy is home but not before a stop for a picture in the fire truck! This little fellow is a major part of the LFD family, we have all been praying for this day and what a joy it is to see it come this quickly. Our God is good! Thank you for all the prayers and support you have shown for Jax. Please continue to keep them coming as he continues to recover from his injuries.
