A firefighter from Lewiston was transported by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries sustained at a traffic accident. The firefighter was struck by a parked fire engine when a Ford F350 pickup hit the engine in heavy fog. Firefighters placed the engine to protect the scene of an earlier accident where emergency medical crews were working. Due to the heavy fog, multiple accidents occurred at the scene.

Please slow down when driving conditions are not optimal and watch out for emergency vehicles!

Our condolences to the Holbrook family and to Logan City Fire Department. Captain Holbrook was a good man.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Captain Brian Holbrook (retired). Captain Holbrook inspired us all with his knowledge and passion for this job. There was no better teacher, no better mentor, and no better friend. He has had a huge influence on the Logan City Fire Department and this community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful family. Rest in peace Brother Brian.
