Dear Friends and Customers,

It is with sincere gratitude that we thank you for allowing Southern Ohio Disposal to serve you these past 20+ years. Your patience and support during the challenging times we have endured recently has meant the world to our family and our team.

Despite the devastating loss of Brandon in August, we have worked diligently to uphold everything that he worked so hard to build. Now the time has come to let another family-owned Ohio company take the reins.

Southern Ohio Disposal will turn over our routes and trucks to Rumpke Waste & Recycling. Beginning tomorrow May 2, Rumpke will be your new trash service provider.

Like Southern Ohio Disposal, Rumpke is committed to providing the friendly, dependable service you have come to expect. We are working closely together to ensure a seamless transition with uninterrupted service for all of our customers.

Your service will initially remain the same. However, collection times may vary. Rumpke will notify you if any changes become necessary.

If you have questions about your service, please contact Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171. We also encourage you to visit www.rumpke.com for more information.

We could not have made it through the past 8+ months without your understanding and support. Thank you for making Southern Ohio Disposal a thriving family business.

We wish you the very best.

Sincerely,
The Southern Ohio Disposal Family

Addendum:
Any prepaid payments you have made on your account will transfer to Rumpke and service will continue as normal, however automated payments will have to be reinstated by contacting Rumpke directly.

If you have any other questions, feel free to call to confirm your billing process and any changes you would like to make to your account. Letters were sent out first of the week and should arrive in your mailbox by Friday.

A big warm thanks to all of the kind comments and well wishes.
It was a pleasure serving you.

We are happy to say that, even still short a driver, our current drivers have got routes back to our regular early start schedules! They have certainly worked hard, working split shifts around the clock to get through mechanical difficulties, inclement weather and other 'bumps'. The support and patience of all our customers has certainly helped along the way, and we thank you and appreciate you a great deal!! Drivers have been starting at 3am since last week, so we do recommend setting trash out the night before your regular scheduled pick up day. Please feel free to pm on here or call our office with any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you and have a great day!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter with your family and friends!

With the arrival of spring, comes the unpredictable 'season change' weather! Still having some snow/ice on occasion, but also flooding with all the rain. With that, the drivers will be using caution in a lot of areas. With grounds saturated, muddy and soft, drivers may avoid certain areas to avoid getting stuck, causing damage to property and our trucks, also avoiding costly tow bills. With flooding in some areas, roads may not be passable and drivers are NOT encouraged to travel any water covered roads. With weather delays, drivers will attempt coming back to those areas as schedule and weather conditions allow.

Drivers are continuing to run split shifts around the clock keeping service provided on all routes. Some recent mechanical issues are being corrected, gradually adding more of our trucks back out to try getting back to a more "normal" pick up time/schedule.

So far, drivers have sent in a pic of St Rt 143 in Meigs County, that fast moving flooding is across that road and was not passable when he was there earlier. No other drivers have reported any hazardous water conditions on roads at this time.

We also have a late start on a couple routes that were assigned this week to a driver that quit yesterday. A Monday route and a Tuesday route, both in the Logan area. Other drivers are helping in these areas after their regular routes are completed. So we are now back to hiring another driver. Anyone with a Class B CDL that would be interested in applying, can stop in our office to fill out an application. 690 Old McArthur Rd Logan.

Please feel free to pm on here or call our office with any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you! Have a great day!

SERVICE UPDATE:
We apologize for the delay in pick up since Wednesday. We have had unforeseen mechanical issues with 3 of our trucks. We have one of the trucks repaired and back out on the routes. Two of the three trucks are still in the shop getting the necessary repairs made. We have obtained another rental truck that arrived this morning to keep on routes until the other trucks are back up and running. Our satellite truck has been out helping on all routes to help get everyone picked up. Drivers will continue running split shifts around the clock to get all routes caught up and back on schedule through the weekend. Please leave your trash out for pick up. Again we apologize for this delay and inconvenience and want to assure all our customers that we are working diligently to get this corrected and everyone caught up to be back on schedule Monday.

Please feel free to pm on here or call our office with any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you

Most routes are caught up from the delay from Wednesday's icy road conditions. There will be 2 Friday routes running late tonight and tomorrow to get everyone caught up, (in the Logan and Rockbridge/Lancaster area). 2 Thursday routes are getting completed today, (in the Buckeye Lake/Lancaster/Rushville area and Logan/Union Furnace area)

Thank you! Have a great day!

Good morning!! Hope everyone is being safe if you have to get out this morning. We have a couple drivers that have already been out on their routes. Other drivers are waiting to start until roads have been better treated. Depends on location. All routes will be running today, but delayed. Please leave your trash out for pick up as arrival times are varying.

Thank you! Have a great day and stay safe!

After the drivers running over the weekend, all routes are caught up and back on schedule. All Monday routes are being ran today. Some have started a little later than normal d/t trucks needing to wait for landfill to open to get emptied from the weekend.

Please feel free to pm on here or call our office with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your account.

Thank you! Have a great day!!

Service update:

Drivers are continuing to run split shifts around the clock to get all routes caught up and back on schedule, including the areas we couldn't get to last week d/t the weather. This is causing a delay in most routes, as we are making sure excess from last week and this week gets picked up. But, while the weather is good, drivers are working non stop to get all routes caught up and back on schedule by the weekend.

Please leave trash out for pick up as arrival times are varying.

Feel free to pm on here or call our office with any questions or concerns you may have.

Thank you! Have a great day!

Service update:

Due to the delay last week from inclement weather and mechanical issues over the weekend, most routes are running delayed. Drivers continued running during the weekend until trucks were full and had to wait for landfill to open Monday morning to get emptied. Friday customers in the Mason County area and in the Glouster/The Plains areas will have route completed today. Regular routes will be running but will be running later to get caught up.

Please feel free to pm on here or call our office with any questions or concerns you may have. Office hours may be limited d/t most office staff out with the flu. Messages on here and vm messages will be checked often and answered asap.

Thank you!
