Summer School 2026

To attend Summer School, all high school students must complete a paper application. You may show up at RRW on June 25th and complete the application. It requires parent signatures and other pertinent information, and parents must be present to complete this process if your students did not bring home an application for you to complete.

Classes will be held at RRW.

Transportation is available. Students will be picked up and taken to their elementary or middle school for breakfast, then reboard the bus to travel to the vocational school.

If you are transporting your child to the connecting school to catch the bus to RRW, you need to be there no later than 7:45 am.

Summer School hours are 8:30 am-1:50 am for high school students. Lunch is at 11:30 am. Students are not allowed to leave the building for lunch.

No phones or other electronics, including iPads, Kindles, tablets, or earbuds, will be allowed during instructional time. Sign in, and phone collection will take place as soon as students arrive at RRW. They will be allowed to have their phones at lunch and will return them until sign-out and departure time.

Students will be able to complete 4 half-credits at no charge. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain missing credits.

Summer school will run from June 25-July 2 with a break from July 3-July 6. It will resume on July 7 and go until July 30.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday for an excellent high school summer school experience!

Congratulations to LHS Class of 2026 Valedictorian Trinity McDevitt on being selected as a Class of 2030 Yeager Scholar at Marshall University!

β€œThese students have already distinguished themselves through exceptional achievement, but the true promise of the Society of Yeager Scholars lies in how its students choose to use their gifts. As we welcome this 40th cohort, we celebrate not only their accomplishments, but the knowledge, empathy and sense of responsibility they will bring to a world that abundantly needs thoughtful and principled leaders.” - MU Honors College Dean Brian Hoey
