Tonight we had the opportunity to brighten a few families’ Christmas season by delivering presents straight to their homes — with Santa himself riding along 🎅🚒

Moments like these remind us why community matters. Thank you to everyone who generously donated money in our fire boots around town. Your kindness helped make Christmas a little more magical for families in need. ❤️🎄

🚑 FREE NARCAN AVAILABLE FOR OUR COMMUNITY 🚑

The Moapa Valley Fire District is committed to keeping our community safe. We now have FREE Narcan available thanks to a grant funded through SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration).

📍 Where to Pick Up Narcan:
🔥 Station 73 (Logandale) – Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
🚓 Overton Substation – Thursday–Sunday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

💉 What is Narcan?
Narcan (naloxone) is a safe, easy-to-use medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. It works by blocking opioids in the brain and can restore normal breathing within minutes. It cannot harm someone who isn’t experiencing an opioid overdose, making it safe for anyone to use in an emergency.

👥 Why is this important?
Opioid overdoses can happen anywhere, and quick action saves lives. Having Narcan on hand empowers community members to provide immediate help while emergency responders are on their way.

If you or someone you know could benefit from having Narcan available, please stop by one of the listed locations during open hours. Together, we can make Moapa Valley a safer place for everyone.

Stay safe, Moapa Valley. ❤️🔥

Today, our volunteers conducted live fire training focused on vehicle fires. These hands-on drills help our team stay sharp, safe, and ready to respond when our community needs us most.

We’re proud to have some of the hardest-working and most dedicated volunteers around — their commitment is what keeps Moapa Valley safe every day. 💪🔥

🚒 Training Announcement 🚒

Today, the Moapa Valley Fire District will be conducting live fire training at Station 73 (3570 N. Lyman) from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

If you happen to see smoke or fire activity at the station during this time, please know it’s part of our ongoing training efforts to enhance firefighter skills and improve our operations.

🇺🇸 Today, we mourn the lives lost 24 years ago when our great country came under attack. On September 11, 2001, 2,977 lives were tragically taken. To honor those first responders and civilians, we walk one step for every life lost on that horrific day.

Thank you to all who showed up to walk alongside our first responders. We truly live in a great community and a great country.

A big thank you to Blake Empey for starting this tradition 6 years ago and keeping it alive. Thank you also to JustServe and Erica Whitmore for conducting the “Battle of the Badges” blood drive to get people out to donate blood—we truly live in an amazing community. Police took the plaque tonight with 28 donations over the 24 donations from Fire.

And a special shout out to EAA Chapter 1707 for the incredible flyover that kicked off today’s walk.
