On Saturday, June 7, two members of the Historic Preservation Commission of Logansport had the privilege of delivering lunch to Emmaus Mission Center - Logansport.

A fun lunch of Hot Dogs and Root Beer, and Rocket ice cream bars, all donated by Heather’s B&K West and Sycamore Drive In, made for a "Taste of Logansport" on a beautiful Saturday!

Community is a beautiful thing and Logansport demonstrates it daily! Thank you, Heather Welch and Brian Graham, for your VERY generous (and incredibly TASTY) lunch.
For the record, the HPC did NOT request that this feast be donated... Heather and Brian chose to do this, which makes it (and them) all the more special!

PLEASE support local businesses. The next time you are at Heather’s B&K West and/or Sycamore Drive In, say THANK YOU to these wonderful business owners!

What does this have to do with Historic Preservation, you wonder? 805 Spencer Street is a single-site historic designation, in need of some upper floor window repair.
A workshop, co-hosted by Indiana Landmarks and the Historic Preservation Commission of Logansport was scheduled for Saturday, but had to be postponed.
Lunch didn't fix the windows, but we wanted to let the residents and our friend, the wonderful Jason Mitchell, know that we WILL reschedule as soon as possible!

The property is beautiful and deserves our support. If you have any interest in learning how to restore windows in historic buildings, PLEASE watch for the Window Restoration Workshop updates! We will post here, and share as soon as we know more!
