As you’re finalizing your end-of-the-year school calendars, make sure you’ve marked down May 8th as the day we’ll all be taking action on the literacy endorsement requirements.

What: State Board of Education meeting
When: May 8th, 9 am (plan or arriving at least 15 minutes early)
Where: Indiana Government Center South (302 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46204) in conference room B.

Show up, sign up to speak, and put the State Board of Education on notice! Put in your personal days now to ensure you’re able to go!

How to Prepare for Participation

Register Early: Ensure you register as soon as you arrive to secure a spot to speak.

Prepare Your Statement: Given the time limits, it’s crucial to prepare a concise statement that clearly articulates your concerns and suggestions.

Focus on Constructive Feedback: While it's important to express frustrations, also aim to propose clear and constructive changes.
