Job description for Teaching Assistant:
The candidate’s main responsibility would be subbing for teachers and implementing their lesson plans. Other duties include, but not limited too:
Filing
Proctoring tests
Gathering and organizing student documents
The hours are Monday – Friday 7:15-3:15.

Logansport Juvenile Correctional Facility is looking for a Transition Coordinator! This contract position helps our youth with transitioning back into their community and homeschools. Some of the duties are:

• Working with the BMV with state id’s and permits
• Implement life skills
• Assist students with employment, apprenticeship programs, and military service information
• Working with Indiana’s Workforce Development and HIRE

Congratulations to LJCF’s Training Department for receiving 100% on their 24-25 Official Progress report. The progress report is comprised of 13 In-Person Standards and 17 Electronic Standards. The Training Department is led by Training Coordinator Shannon Hiles, and her team: Training Officer Ashley Johnson, Field Training Manager Pat Smith and Clerical Assistant Karen Rigle. A former youth from the Logansport Juvenile Correctional Facility, now a successful owner of a landscaping business, generously volunteered his time to support current residents in the Oasis Garden. Over the course of three days this spring, he guided the youth in constructing a retaining wall, sharing valuable skills and mentorship.
The Oasis Garden, maintained by the youth and recreation staff at the facility, yields fresh vegetables that are donated to the Emmaus Mission in Logansport, Indiana, contributing to the local community and fostering a spirit of service.
