Show your support for Indigenous-led and community based programming this !

When you support the Rou Dalagurr Food Sovereignty Lab and Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute, you support programming such as the Specialty Crop Initiative Program (SCIP). SCIP is aimed at strengthening traditional food practices and enhancing food sovereignty within our local communities. This initiative is designed to address the significant issues of food insecurity and lack of access to culturally relevant foods for our Tribal communities in Humboldt and Del Norte counties. SCIP facilitates weekly hands-on engagement with Tribal partners in the Hoopa Valley and Klamath River communities. As well as regular programming across Humboldt, Del Norte and beyond. By working closely with local specialty crop producers, Tribes, Tribal organizations and community members, SCIP has supported and executed numerous educational workshops, training sessions, curriculum creation, food distributions, media creation, community events, garden development, and the Indigenous Foods Festival. SCIP not only creates a tangible impact during the life of the project, but the efforts will go on to support the community long term through publication of curriculum, guides, and resources that will be distributed and available to our local community for years to come.

Donating today for , the lab will receive a proportional match from our donors. Your contribution to the Rou Dalagurr: Food Sovereignty Lab & Traditional Ecological Knowledges Institute helps us continue our work like the Specialty Crop Initiative Program, in centering and uplifting Indigenous knowledges, sciences, foodways, technical assistance and community support.
