The Dallas City Rural Fire District Board has made the decision to not continue a contract with Lomax Ambulance Service. With that being said Lomax Ambulance Service will no longer be serving the communities as it has in the past.

From information we were told Nauvoo Fire Protection District will be taking over coverage of the Hancock County portion of what LAS was covering and Burlington Fire Dept will be covering the Henderson County portion. Any specific details will have to be referred to the Board.

At this stage we do not know exactly how EMS volunteers from our areas can still serve our communities. That is still being discussed. So if you are interested please reach out! First Responders are needed EVERYWHERE!!

Sounds like we may be looking at a pretty big winter storm later this week. Please prepare early. And please stay in if at all possible. These temperatures will not take long to create an emergency situation if you are stranded out in them.
