As we all know, the cell/internet service disruptions have become more common in town. In case of emergencies or non-emergencies during these times, we would like to inform you of ways to get a hold of Lometa Police Department.

1. If landlines don't go down, you will be able to use a landline to call City Hall at (512) 752-3331 . City Hall will be able to get a hold of the Officer on duty and get us to you as fast as possible.

If you do not have access to a landline to make a phone call, feel free to come to City Hall and use their phone if you need an Officer. Talk to your neighbors, find out if any of your neighbors or friends have a landline available for use during emergencies. Some businesses have working landlines as well and have offered citizens or those in need of an officer to use their phone to get a hold of us.
Businesses: Sammy's Rocking K Kafe, Big's 104, Rancho Seco, and The Beer Kooler.

2. Sometimes landlines will not work either. If this is the case, we will leave radios at local businesses. Go to a local business and ask them to call us via radio (or via landline, if available) so that we can get to you as soon as possible.
At this time, landlines are working at the businesses listed above.

3. When service is out, service will sometimes work at the Lometa Regional Park. Service will work by the big tree by the soccer fields. When you get there, refresh your network by activating and deactivating airplane mode. You will then be able to call dispatch at 512-556-8255 and they will be able to get a hold of us via radio.
