Lompoc Co-op Development Project Our goal is to contribute to a vibrant economy in the Lompoc Valley by assisting in the formation of worker owned and operated cooperatives.

The Lompoc Co-op Development Project is working to become an incubator that will create worker owned and operated cooperatives in the Lompoc Valley. LCPD is using the cooperative model as a means to address the current 16% unemployment rate. The group is working under the guidance of the California Center for Cooperative Development. Currently LCDP's goal is to have the first co-op business, green

housecleaning, in operation in October 2012. We hope to plant a new business every year. LCDP recently received a $10,000 grant from the Fund for Santa Barbara and is actively pursuing additional funding through grants and fundraisers. LCDP's goal is to create a vibrant local economy by creating local living wage jobs that will keep both wages and profits in the Lompoc Valley. If you are interested in becoming a part of this process, LCDP meets the third Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Valley of the Flowers Church, 3346 Constellation Road.
