On behalf of the Good Will Fire Company, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our members, neighboring fire departments, and everyone who took the time to come out and pay their respects to Lieutenant Clarence “CB” Broadwater.

Rest easy, Lieutenant. Your watch is over, but your legacy and memory will live on forever. You will never be forgotten.

We would also like to say thank you to the Short Gap Volunteer Fire Company for providing Standby for us while we laid one of our own to rest.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence “CB” Broadwater. He faithfully served his community as a dedicated member of our fire company since March 2003. He passed Firefighter I training when he was just 68 years young, and served as not only a firefighter, but held many offices within our department over the years. He also served as President of the Allegany-Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association for three of those years.

We ask that you please keep Clarence’s family, friends, and the members of the Good Will Fire Company and Auxiliary in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday and his Funeral will be on Friday at 11:00 am at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home in Lonaconing. If any fire department would like to participate in the processional, please reach out to Lt. Chris Oates at 304-303-8470. All fire apparatus will need to be in Lonaconing by 10:00 am.
