HISTORY FOUND & RESTORED! 🏛️✨

Take a look at this incredible piece of local history!

Recently, one of our outstanding maintenance team members, Matthew Taylor (pictured below next to the restored headstone), discovered the top portion of an old tombstone tucked away in a storage area within the park.

Recognizing its significance, Matthew immediately brought it to the Mountain Life Museum. After some thorough research, we made an amazing discovery: it was the missing top piece of the headstone belonging to Francis Jackson, wife of Jarvis Jackson—one of the founding fathers of London, Kentucky!

Even more surprising? Records show this piece of history had been missing for over a decade! 🕵️‍♂️📜

Thanks to a generous grant from the Laurel County Historical Society, the headstone has now been fully restored to its original historic appearance.

📍 Want to see this piece of history in person?
Stop by and visit the graves of Francis and Jarvis Jackson at the Breastworks Cemetery right here in London, Kentucky!

👇 Help us spread the word! Drop a comment below to thank Matthew and the Laurel County Historical Society for preserving our history, and share this post with fellow history lovers! 📜❤️
