πŸ›οΈ Civic Tip Tuesday: The Civic Side of Summer Fun! β˜€οΈπŸŒ³
We’ve spent the last few weeks looking closely at city codes and meeting agendas, so for today's tip, we are keeping things bright, breezy, and focused strictly on enjoying the sunshine!

Have you ever wondered how local government impacts your day-to-day life in a fun way? Our public parks are the perfect example. When you look at city revenue, it doesn't just go toward paving roads or keeping the lights on, it also directly funds the maintenance and care of our community's favorite green spaces.

Host Your Next Event! πŸŽ‚πŸŽˆ
Did you know you can bring your own celebrations to our parks? The city-maintained shelters and the gazebo are available for rent! They are the perfect, affordable spots for hosting birthday parties, family reunions, graduation celebrations, and summer cookouts. You can check availability and secure a reservation by reaching out to the City Administration team or visiting the City Facility Rental page on londonohio.gov

Our Parks and Recreation teams work year-round to turn city resources into clean, safe places for London families to enjoy:
Public parks are truly "shared property"β€”owned and funded by everyone who lives here. Because it’s a community-wide investment, keeping them beautiful is a simple team effort. While city crews handle the big jobs like mowing and safety upgrades, you can help protect your investment by doing a quick sweep of your immediate area before heading home. Leaving a space tidy ensures the next neighbor gets to enjoy it just as much! ✨

We’d Love to Know! ❀️
Which London park is your absolute favorite for a sunny afternoon? Are you team playground at Cowling or team picnics at Merri Mac? Let’s share some local park love in the comments below! πŸ‘‡
