💙 We Will Never Forget. 💙

On May 16, 2025, an EF4 tornado with winds of 170 mph tore through Laurel County, wiping out entire neighborhoods and taking the lives of 19 precious souls from Laurel County.

This shirt means everything. The front honors Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, the EMS heroes who have served this community since 1977 — the same heroes who showed up when we needed them most. The back represents the 19 souls we lost — held together in silhouette, standing as one.

Wearing this isn’t just honoring the lost. It’s a promise to the living — to the survivors, to the first responders, to every family still rebuilding — that Laurel County remembers, and Laurel County does not quit.

💙 19 Lives. Forever in our hearts. 💙

As EMS providers, you train for every possible scenario. At the start of every shift, crews never truly know what they may face — but they are always prepared to make a difference when seconds matter most.

Just after midnight on May 6th, during what began as a fairly routine transfer, our crew was faced with one of the most critical situations imaginable: the emergency delivery of an extremely premature baby at just 25 weeks gestation. At the time of delivery, the baby was in critical condition and required immediate resuscitation efforts.

Paramedic Zach Chambers quickly put his training and skills into action, performing lifesaving resuscitation efforts that successfully revived the baby. His partner, Advanced EMT Jason Cornett, remained calm under pressure while ensuring both mother and baby were transported safely to the nearest hospital. The crew was also assisted on scene by an OB RN whose experience and support played an important role during this critical call.

Today, while the baby remains at UK NICU, he is continuing to do well, and mom has made a full recovery.

Calls like this remind us that EMS is more than a profession — it is a commitment to serving others during the most difficult and life-changing moments imaginable. We are incredibly proud of the teamwork, professionalism, and compassion shown by everyone involved.
