🎶💙 Happy Hour with Spittin’ Image! 💙🎶

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music, laughter, and great company during Happy Hour on May 20th, featuring Spittin’ Image! 🎸🎤

Residents gathered together to enjoy familiar tunes, tap their toes, sing along, and spend time with friends while taking in a fun live performance. It was an afternoon full of smiles and special moments that remind us how meaningful music can be. 💙

Honoring a Life of Service & Love

At Bluebird Retirement Community, we are honored to remember one of our own, Anthony Gricus, a proud Korean War veteran, Purple Heart recipient, beloved husband, and treasured member of our Bluebird family.

Anthony served our country with courage and sacrifice, carrying a story of strength that deserves to be remembered. This special display was created to honor his life, service, and legacy.

While Anthony is deeply missed, his memory continues to live on through the stories shared, the love he leaves behind, and the life he built with those who loved him most.

🎶 Summer Concert Series Kickoff & Cookout! 🌭☀️

What a wonderful kickoff to our Bluebird Summer Concert Series & Cookout! Our residents, families, staff, and friends enjoyed an afternoon filled with delicious food, laughter, great company, and fantastic live music by Barefoot Jake McCoy! 🎸

From smiling faces and sweet moments to music, cookout favorites, and community fun, it was a beautiful way to welcome the summer season here at Bluebird. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We loved seeing so many smiles and making memories together, and we can’t wait for the next concert in our summer series!

A beautiful day, delicious food, sweet treats, and even sweeter memories! ❤️🐄🍦

On Tuesday, our residents enjoyed a wonderful lunch outing to Young's Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs! Everyone had a great time sharing meals, visiting with friends, exploring the gift shop, and enjoying a fun afternoon out together.

This was our first Young’s outing of the month, and after such a successful trip, we’re excited to already have two more visits planned before the month is over!

At Bluebird, we love creating meaningful experiences that keep our residents active, social, and connected to the community around them. 💙

🌸 Sunday, we celebrated Mother’s Day at Bluebird Retirement Community! 🌸

Ring-a-ling, ring-a-ling! 🔔🎶
Our Bluebird Hand Bell Choir was hard at work today, and what a fun afternoon it was! Residents enjoyed learning rhythms, making music together, and sharing lots of smiles along the way. 💙

A huge shoutout to Stoey for doing such a wonderful job leading the group and making the experience so engaging and enjoyable for everyone. The joy and laughter filling the room made it a truly special activity!

At Bluebird, it’s moments like these that bring our community together and make every day meaningful. ✨

🌮🎉 What a wonderful Cinco de Mayo celebration at Bluebird Retirement Community! 🎉🌮

Yesterday was filled with festive fun, delicious food, music, games, laughter, and so many smiling faces. Residents enjoyed enchiladas, churros, chips and salsa, colorful decorations, and even took a few turns at the piñata! 🪅🎶

Stoey taught everyone the traditional song “De Colores,” and residents had so much fun singing along together. We also took time to share the meaning behind Cinco de Mayo and celebrate the joy of learning about different cultures together.

From silly props and sombreros to festive games and special visitors, the entire afternoon was full of happiness, laughter, and community spirit. ❤️
