National School Bus Safety Week
October 19–23, 2026

Every Stop Matters. Every Student Matters.

This week, Madison-Plains Local School District joins schools across the country in recognizing National School Bus Safety Week!

Every school day, our buses carry some of our community's most precious cargo, our children. Getting them to and from school safely takes more than just our dedicated bus drivers. It takes all of us!

As you travel throughout your day, please remember:

Slow down and stay alert when approaching school buses and bus stops.

Never pass a school bus with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.

Watch for children who may be crossing the road or waiting at bus stops.

Be patient. A few extra moments of your time could make all the difference in keeping a child safe.

We also want to take a moment to recognize our incredible Madison-Plains transportation team. Our drivers and transportation staff do so much more than transport students. They greet our children each morning, build relationships, and work hard to make sure every student arrives safely.

To our transportation team, thank you for the care, patience, and dedication you show our Golden Eagles every single day!

Let's work together to keep our students safe, one stop at a time!
