The future Marines of Louisville Marines were tested mentally and physically this past Friday evening and Saturday. They found themselves arriving at Ft. Knox only to be met by 3 highly motivated drill instructors to teach them what it will take to earn the title of Marine. These individuals without a doubt have what it takes to earn the title, do you? 🦅 🌎 ⚓️

Congratulations to Eli Gover on being selected for the Naval Reserve officer Training Corps Scholarship with a value of 180,000!

Eli and over 100 applicants from Northeasten United States put a lot of hard work Mentally and Physically to be one of the 17 to achieve this competitive scholarship!

🇺🇸 RSS London July Poolee Function🇺🇸
The Marines and future Marines of RSS London ran an Initial Strenght Test this Saturday to gauge how well prepared they are for the Challenge of earning the Title Marine! Afterwards we got a chance to compete in ultimate frisbee and the Future Marines voted for their Guide Poolee Baird a senior out of Williamsburg High School.

Congratulations to Poolee Arrlie Escobar-Lopez.

He received the 2021 Most Improved Award, Leadership Award, and is a Work Ethics Seal recipient at Somerset High School Athletics.

Poolee Escobarlopez is joining the Marine Corps Reserves so he can attend the University of the Cumberlands where he has committed to run Track and Cross Country and major in Business and Management.

Somerset Track and Field salutes senior Arrlie Escobar-Lopez. Arrlie is the son of Maricela Lopez and has participated in the sport for two years.

He received the 2021 Most Improved Award, Leadership Award, and is a Work Ethics Seal recipient.

His favorite memory is getting a personal record almost every meet.

Arrlie plans to join the Marines before attending the University of the Cumberlands where he has committed to run Track and Cross Country and major in Business and Management.

His advice to younger teammates? "Always try your best. Pain is temporary, but a memory is forever."

The future Marines of RSS London got to spend Friday and Saturday getting a taste of what Recruit Training would be like. These Poolees were able to bring home 3rd place out of 12 stations. From AMMO can lifts to pull ups and screaming at drill instructors.
