CART Expands Bus Service Hours in Londonderry Beginning September 1

The Cooperative Alliance for Regional Transportation (CART), operated by Manchester Transit, is expanding its curb-to-curb bus service in Londonderry beginning September 1, 2026.

CART is Londonderry’s shared-ride bus service and is open to everyone. There is no fixed route or bus stop to walk to. Riders can call ahead to arrange curb-to-curb transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping, work, errands, visits around town, and other transportation needs. Vehicles are wheelchair accessible, and service is available in Londonderry and surrounding communities.

Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Last pickup is no later than 7:15 p.m.
New evening service from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. begins September 1, 2026

Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Last pickup is no later than 3:15 p.m.
Saturday service begins September 1, 2026

Sunday: No service.
Fare
The fare is $2 per passenger, per trip. Please bring exact cash, as drivers are unable to make change.

Call 603-623-8801 and select option 2 for CART. When calling, please be prepared to provide your name, age, phone number, destination and requested time, and any mobility needs.

🔥 Firefighter – The department is seeking to fill four vacancies. Paramedic-certified applicants are also eligible for consideration as Firefighter / Paramedics.

📞 Telecommunications Operator – This position supports public safety by receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls, maintaining records, and providing essential communications and administrative support.

Here we go again! Fraudulent invoices have a way of making the rounds, so we thought it was a good time to reshare this previous alert as a friendly reminder that if an invoice looks unfamiliar or something just seems a little off, please take a moment to verify it before making payment. A little extra caution can go a long way!

FRAUD ALERT: The Town of Londonderry has been made aware that fraudulent invoices are being sent to some residents that appear to reference Town services or obligations.

Please be advised that these invoices are not issued by the Town of Londonderry and should not be paid.

If you receive an invoice, bill, or payment request that you believe may be fraudulent, we recommend that you:

- Do not submit payment
- Do not provide personal or financial information
- Contact the Town directly to verify the legitimacy of the request

If you have questions or would like to report a suspicious invoice, please contact the Town at 603-432-1100 ext. 150.

Please join us for the parade at 10:15, once again brought to you by our friends at St. Mary's Bank.Then, stay for the activities: booths on the Common and the Meetinghouse, the Legion Beer Pavilion, the Car Show, entertainment on the bandstand organized by Ovation Theatre Company, the Historical Society...and the Kids Zone Petting Zoo & Games brought to you by Spindel Eye Associates. It’s Mario…on the Common!

Old Home Day gets so busy that sometimes we can’t even break away to post about what’s next…but it’s always something great. TONIGHT starting around 7:30 pm join the Londonderry Police Association on the Common for THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE. What an awesome choice to watch on a beautiful night under the stars!

TWIST AND SHOUT your way down to the Town Common tonight for a can't-miss Old Home Day and season finale to Concerts on the Common. It won't be A HARD DAY'S NIGHT because HERE COMES THE SUN and the weather looks amazing. Everyone will COME TOGETHER for this fabulous show!

Okay, I'll stop now. But seriously, don't miss Studio Two on the Common tonight! I promise they won't make as many Beatles puns there are in this post.
