Wow! Thank you to everyone that showed up to Town of Londonderry Old Home Day. We had a blast! So much fun with thousands of people (young and older) trying out the High Striker Game. Served up lots of popcorn and gave away some nice raffle baskets! We raised a little money to help support our charities.

We can’t wait for next year!

The Rotary Club of Londonderry NH was excited to welcome our new District Governor Bill Stevens and District Governor Elect Donna Deos to our meeting this morning. Bill shared with us many of the activities that are happening in the 60+ clubs in our district. His vision for growing clubs so that there are more people and organizations that can benefit from our work.

On Wednesday July 31st Rotary Club of Londonderry NH welcomed Ted Kitchens, Aviation Director of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) as our speaker. Did you know that there are only thirteen US certified airlines and MHT has eight of them. Of course the big news is JetBlue will be flying out of MHT starting in January. And parking is only $14/day. Why go to Logan?

Rotary Club of Londonderry NH sponsored five scholarships this year totaling over $20,000. One of those is The Fred Ball Memorial Scholarship, which was over $12,000 this year . We were very pleased to have this year’s recipient Connor Koza visit us this morning. Pictured with Connor, is club President Michael Lucci, Vice President/President Elect Jon Adkins and Secretary Faye Sell.

On Wednesday The Rotary Club of Londonderry NH was fortunate to have club member and owner of Eco-Smart Landscaping, Sean Tumblety speak to us about why he started his company which specializes in organic lawn care and maintenance. He provided us with lots of information regarding the major issues of using chemical treatments for lawn care vs earth friendly organic treatments. Thanks Sean.

Thank you so very much to all the amazing and generous people who helped make today’s End68 Hours of Hunger Londonderry, NH Food Drive an astonishing success. Rotary Club of Londonderry NHThe End 68 Hour of Hunger Food Drive and HOPE worldwide joined together so that children who depend on school lunches do not go without food for the weekend. We met some truly amazing people today who gave of their hearts to help this extremely worthy cause.

The Rotary Club of Londonderry was fortunate to have Bob Rimol, President of Londonderry Trailways speak to our group on Wednesday June 19, 2024 about all the details and challenges facing the group that is responsible for the 4.5 miles of trails in Londonderry as well as the coordination with connecting towns, local, state and federal governments. Thank you to Bob and all the volunteers who help make the trail accessible to all of us for walking, running and cycling.

UPDATE; The banners will be distributed on Thursday afternoon at Londonderry High School during the Red Cross Blood Drive from 2-5 Pm

What goes up must come down and so is the case with the 2024 Londonderry High School Graduate Banners.

Yesterday Rotary Club of Londonderry NH along with assistance from Longchamps Electric, Spark Electrician Services LLC,Sousa Signs,Eco-Smart Landscaping, Londonderry DPW, and Londonderry Police Department took down the banners. We will be posting updates soon as to where and when the banners may be picked up. Thanks to all of the folks that once again helped out to make this project possible. Special thanks to Centegrity Wealth Advisors and Minuteman Press of Londonderry for sponsoring the banners once again. Also, a big round of applause to Rotary Club of Londonderry NH past president Ken Senus for once again chairing this project which he came up with in 2020 during the Covid 19 Pandemic and to LHS Vice Principal Katie Sullivan for being the best liason we could ask for.
