Carter County is now under a Burn Ban for the next 7 days. The Emergency Management website will be updated to show burn ban status as soon as possible. We are having technical difficulties updating at this time. Please see the attach Burn Ban Resolution for more information.

Healdton is DRY, DRY, DRY right now and conditions are not safe for burning.

Please DO NOT burn brush, trash, leaves, fields or anything else right now.

Try to refrain from welding.
Make sure your chains are secured on trailers.
Make sure you check your yards for anything that may cause a spark if hit with a mower.

One small spark can quickly turn into a wildfire, putting homes, property, livestock, firefighters and our entire community at risk.

Please don’t take the chance.
If you’re thinking about burning it, wait until conditions improve.
