MEMORIAL RD BETWEEN MERIDIAN AND BROCK RD WILL BE SHUT DOWN TODAY FROM 12P-5P, AND AGAIN TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND THURSDAY FROM 8A-5P. ELECTRIC COMPANY WILL BE AGAIN PULLING WIRE ACROSS THE ROADWAY. PLEASE FIND AN ALTERNATE ROUTE DURING THESE DAYS AND TIMES.

The Carter County Prevention Coalition and Lone Grove PD worked together to provide a hands-on training opportunity with our In-Visible trailer. In-Visible simulates a teen’s bedroom to learn how to spot signs of substance use and risky behaviors. The intent of the exhibit is to train, educate and prepare participants to look at the environment with fresh eyes in order to recognize and address warning signs and risky behaviors.

The Lone Grove Police Department is accepting applications for Full-time Police Officers. Must be 21 years of age, with a high school diploma or GED. Must have a valid Oklahoma driver's license, no felonies/convictions and must pass a drug test. CLEET certified a plus.

Applications will be taken until positions are filled. Please apply in person at the Police Department.

County wide burn ban has been extended for another 7 days. This also means that no burn permits will be issued for residents living inside city limits.

There is a large controlled burn in Murray County and the smoke is moving through our area. It will remain smokey in our area for the next several hours into the evening.
