Legacy Campus recently celebrated its inaugural Signing Day, recognizing students who have secured industry positions before graduation. Similar to an athletic signing day, when students announce where they will compete at the college level, this event honored students as they committed to future employers and career opportunities connected to their pathway programs.
Eight students are already taking next steps into promising futures in high-demand industries. Five students in the Building Controls Technology pathway signed apprenticeships with Carlton Electric, where they will begin working toward earning their journeyman licenses. Another student in the pathway accepted a position with Lockheed Martin as a Mechanical/Electrical Fabrication Technician, helping build and test systems.
Students in other pathways were also recognized for their career commitments. One Culinary/Hospitality student will transition from intern to full-time employee at Great Divide Brewery in Castle Rock, while a Robotics pathway student committed to Convergint Technologies and will gain experience in fire life safety and security systems.
Legacy Campus Signing Day highlights the power of real-world learning experiences and the many opportunities available to students through career and technical education. These students embody what it means to connect passion to purpose and pathway.
