The Long Beach City College Board of Trustees has unanimously placed

Measure LB on the upcoming June 7th ballot. With universities becoming increasingly expensive, affordable community

colleges like Long Beach City College are more important than ever. Please

consider joining our growing coalition by endorsing Measure LB to

improve Long Beach City College, today. Passing Measure LB increas

es opportunities for students to earn college

credits, certifications, and job skills at a reasonable price and then transfer to

Long Beach State and other four-year universities. Measure LB expands

LBCC’s highly-successful College Promise program which provides free

college education for local high school graduates who couldn’t otherwise

afford it. Long Beach City College also serves hundreds of local veterans, and

Measure LB improves veterans’ facilities to help them complete their

education. Voting YES on LB will:

Improve educational resources for veterans

Repair deteriorating gas, electrical and sewer lines and leaky roofs

Expand partnerships with area employers to fill job training/placement

needs

Meet earthquake safety standards

Upgrade science, engineering, and technology classrooms and labs

Make sure to vote yes on Measure LB to support Long Beach City College.
