The Long Beach Auxiliary Police Department, located in the City of Long Beach, NY on the South Shore of Long Island, is an organization composed of civilian volunteers who come from all corners of the community including doctors, lawyers, local business owners, housewives, educators, students and beyond. Our members attend and receive extensive training, conducted by the Nassau County Auxiliary Police Academy, which allows us to provide first class professional services to our community.

Commuter Assistance Update – City of Long Beach

In response to the ongoing LIRR strike, the City of Long Beach is providing commuter assistance with shuttle bus service to the Far Rockaway “A” train station.

🕕 Morning Service: 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM
🕔 Evening Service: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Beginning Monday morning May 18th, buses will depart the Long Beach Station at 6:05am, 7:05am, and 8:05am to Far Rockaway.

For the evening rush, buses will depart from Far Rockaway at 5:00pm, 6:00pm, and 7:00pm.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to evaluate and adjust services as needed to assist our residents.
