We're so excited to dance at the Ten Fifteen Productions Performathon tonite at 9pm!!! After Ecstatic Dance in the ballroom with Kim head down to the beloved 1015 theater where 24 hours of performances start at 7:15 pm. I will be doing a solo veil routine followed by Julie Kovatch 's ITS class (our first time ever performing 😳😄) and then a handful of us from Choreo will be debuting a brand new Raqs Al-Assaya number. We'd love to see you there in support of the theater!!! 🎭👏

So, here is my show. Each painting is accompanied by a brief writing. I will share both.
The Beaver Ball
Beavers work very hard. They build their complex
lodges, dam up streams, and raise their young. They
are busy, busy, busy. Imagine how much work it would
be to gnaw a tree in half, and they do it all day long!
However, right around Labor Day, they stop gnawing
and damming, don festive seasonal attire, and go to the
Beaver Ball. All sorts of animals attend, but the beavers
host the occasion. Why? Because they know how to
throw a dam good party.
I learned something critically important from living in
New Orleans. I learned how essential it is to celebrate
life, even the little things. Junior cut his first
tooth=family get together. Marie decides to become a
blond=girls night out. Fred bought a new lawn
mower=cook out. Southerners are very adept at
celebrating, and we Yankees could learn a thing or two
from them. Here's to all the beavers in the world,
beaver type beavers and human type beavers. May
you have enough time to celebrate your lives, restore
your vitality, and forge on.
