🐶 Stay Alert to Heat Stroke ☀️

Hot weather can become dangerous for dogs in a matter of minutes. Recognizing the warning signs early and taking simple preventive measures can make a significant difference to your pet's well-being.

❤️ Watch for Warning Signs
Look for rapid heartbeat, excessive panting, drooling, weakness, glassy eyes, vomiting, or difficulty standing. These can all indicate dangerous overheating.

🌳 Keep Your Dog Cool
Provide plenty of fresh water, access to shade, and a cool place to rest throughout the day.

🚶 Exercise at the Right Time
Choose early morning or late evening walks when temperatures are lower to reduce the risk of overheating.

🚗 Never Leave a Dog in a Parked Car
Even with windows slightly open, temperatures inside a vehicle can rise rapidly and become life-threatening within minutes.

💦 Cool Them Down Safely
Use cool—not icy—water to gently wet your dog's body and help lower its temperature gradually.

🌀 Improve Airflow
Fans or air conditioning can help keep indoor environments comfortable during hot weather.

🏥 Seek Veterinary Care Immediately
If you suspect heat stroke, move your dog to a cool area, offer small amounts of water, begin cooling their body, and contact a veterinarian without delay.
