Long Beach Soup Kitchen The Long Beach Soup Kitchen is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization established in 1983 to feed hungry people in the Long Beach area.

The Long Beach Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization established in 1983 to feed hungry people in the Long Beach, NY area. Annually we serve more than 6,500 hot meals and provide over 6,500 take-away lunches on our premises. The work of the Long Beach Soup Kitchen is made possible by the caring efforts of more than 50 volunteers who serve a hot meal six day

s a week to hungry people in the Long Beach community. These dedicated workers pick up food, cook, serve and clean up after every meal. They also work behind the scenes, ordering supplies, acknowledging donations, keeping our books, maintaining our van and offering their technical and creative skills.

Thank you to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Regional School in Bellmore, NY for their thoughtful and generous donation to LBSK. The middle school science students and their 4th grade teacher dropped off 100 brown bags filled with a juice box, jelly beans, fresh fruit and pretzels for our guests.

LB Middle School students raised money for LBSK and used the proceeds to purchase canned goods at Stop & Shop and delivered them with their two teachers to the soup kitchen. The students took a tour and met with Rob Blau, president of LBSK. It was a great visit and a much appreciated donation. Great job, kids! Thank you!
