Century Villages at Cabrillo is a unique 27-acre community serving Veterans and families with a history of homelessness. We are a vibrant place!

We are located in west Long Beach and benefit from the collaboration of eleven different non-profit agencies.

🎨 What does home mean to you?

For some, home is a place. For others, it’s a feeling, a person, a memory, or a sense of belonging.

Our CVC residents explored this idea through art, and now we’re excited to share their work with you!

Join us for our Community Art Gallery, in partnership with the Long Beach Public Library, and see what “What Home Means to Me” looks like through the eyes of our residents.

WE DID IT! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we've officially reached our $3,000 fundraising goal for our Youth Summer Camp at Century Villages at Cabrillo!

Every donation helps provide five weeks of safe, trauma-informed summer camp for children whose families have experienced homelessness and other hardships. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in these amazing kids.

But here's the exciting part: We're not closing the fundraiser just yet! Every dollar above our goal means more opportunities, supplies, enriching activities, and unforgettable memories for our campers.

Congratulations to Daril, one of our outstanding veteran residents and our latest Resident Spotlight honoree!

For the past three years, Daril has been a valued member of our community, known for his kindness, warm smile, and respect for others. After successfully transitioning from the U.S.VETS VIP Program, he has maintained excellent tenancy and continues to thrive in permanent housing.

We're grateful for Daril's positive presence in our community and proud to celebrate this well-earned milestone.

Fun Friday was a wonderful time for everyone who joined us recently! 🎉

At Century Villages at Cabrillo, we host intergenerational gatherings throughout the year, from game days and movie nights to cooking activities and creative projects—helping residents stay connected and build community.

A special thank-you to for bringing delicious popsicles for our residents—always a favorite! We’re also grateful to our amazing Occupational Therapy team for leading DIY magnet and button activities that everyone enjoyed.

Thank you as well to the staff, youth, and families who came out to spend time together, play games, and make the afternoon so special. We hope to see everyone again at our next Fun Friday!

Lala is one of the strongest leaders in our Oasis Youth Program. She is always willing to support her peers and youth leaders, stepping in to help wherever needed.
In addition to maintaining a high GPA, Lala is an incredibly talented artist. Her artwork can be seen throughout the community, bringing creativity, inspiration, and joy to those around her.

We’re proud to celebrate our colleagues Joseph Haywood and Millicent Boye, who were recognized yesterday at the Affordable Housing Management Association - Pacific Southwest (AHMA-PSW) Industry Awards.

Joseph Haywood, Facilities Manager, received the “Maintenance Professional of the Year” award, while Millicent Boye, Resident Services Manager, received the “Supervisor of the Year” award. These honors recognize outstanding professionalism, compassion, leadership, and service within the affordable housing industry.

Strong communities are built not only through housing, but through the people who help residents feel supported, respected, and cared for every day. Joe and Millie embody that commitment through their dedication to residents, communities, and colleagues, and we are incredibly grateful for all they do.

Lawrence may be a newer resident at Century Villages at Cabrillo, but he has already become a valued part of our community.

He regularly participates in groups, discussions, and community activities, always bringing kindness and thoughtfulness to those around him. Whether he’s pouring coffee at the monthly Village Community Meeting or helping fellow residents feel welcome, Larry’s compassion and positive spirit have made a meaningful impact. We were proud to honor him with the Residential Spotlight Award at a recent meeting.

We are grateful to have Larry as part of our community and look forward to seeing his continued growth and connection with others.
