Moen Recognized as Class C Operator of the Year by PeopleService! For a man who started in the wastewater industry just three years ago, Greg Stang says of Mike, “He hit the ground running from day one and has never looked back. He easily passed his Level C wastewater exam after just one year on the job.” At PeopleService, Mike is responsible for all the operations/maintenance of the four pond systems and 10 lift stations in Long Beach, Minnesota. He also maintains 136 individual grinder stations there. Greg also credits Mike for having a strong mechanical mind. He designed, and had built, a pipe stabilizer for the 1.5” PVC effluent pipe that exits the grinder station 8’ below grade. This invention has greatly reduced the number of pipes broken off in the station, which in turn helps alleviate a safety concern because when pipes break, a person has to go down into the confined space to repair it.

In addition to being a great husband and father, Michael has been a invaluable and trusted partner of Long Beach for the past 3 years! Thanks Michael!
