We had our first Hotel guests sitting out on the porch this past week (5/13) and even more porch patrons today as it’s 82 degrees! While I didn’t get a photo of the crew from Pennsylvania that stayed with us, here is one of our very own Hotel Baby (as noted by the bar mop blanket Dad gave her 🤭)

Thank you kindly to everyone that has sent or dropped kindness to our new +1. Thank you cards are s…l..o..w..l…y being written between feedings. has finally sprung !

Here's today's PHOTO OF THE DAY!!! This recently discovered photograph takes us to that wonder of the Adirondacks: the "Au Sable Chasm!" Taken sometime around 1910, the image captures an intrepid group of visitors to the Chasm (lower right), exploring the area beneath the towering railway bridge that once stood 150-feet over the Au Sable River below. The adventurers appear to number about 25 people, with the women wearing the long, Edwardian style dresses and very large hats that were popular during this era. Some can even be seen sporting parasols to shield themselves from the sun, while the men are clad in suites and bowler hats or caps. First opened to visitors in the 1870s, the Chasm remains one of the oldest attractions of its kind in our region.
