Washington Township DPW is the BEST! Great job plowing the roads with these multiple, persistent snow storms. I have always appreciated how much better the road conditions are in our town, compared to the surrounding towns! In fact, when I tried to offer a Dunkin' Donuts gift card to a DPW snow plow driver, he refused it, saying that "a smile is enough!" Wow! So thanks to ALL you snow plow drivers and DPW workers. Great job keeping our roads safe for all. Stay safe!

Well over 1 year ago we contacted The West Morris High School transportation office to make sure our daughter would receive busing as we are close to 2.5 mile mark that busing is provided for. We have sent numerous emails since , finally the transportation office sent someone from the Divison of weights and measures to measure. Here we are less than 24 hours before school starts and we are still awaiting an answer. Numerous calls and emails and not being returned. Anyone have anyone to contact that will actually return a call or email ???
Any chance of getting an update on power restoration to Squire Hill Rd area? Power company has been saying by 11pm every day since Wednesday and keeps pushing it back.
This is the Old Doc Kossmans house..... These pictures were shared on a page of friends of long valley.....many of us find this heartbreaking and are asking why it's been allowed to get to this point ? It's part of the history of long valley .

Can anyone tell me what sort of work they’re doing on old farmers Road school?
Is there some master schedule for repaving roads in town or are the roads chosen to be repaved based upon the number of requests/ complaints received or DPW inspections and observations? Winay Terrace could certainly use it. Been living on this street for 23 years and it just gets spot patching every few years which in some ways makes it worse. Then the snow plows chip away and rip up the patching every winter. Just curious what the process is.
