Long Valley Fire Company No.1, Long Valley NJ Serving Washington Township since 1911. Long Valley Fire Company is part of Washington Township Fire Department, and serving the Washington Township community since 1911, and was incorporated in 1921, the Long Valley Fire Company No. 1 is a life saving/property conserving organization that has over 90 years of emergency experience in our community.

3/5/2021 0328 hrs Long Valley Fire Company was dispatched for a commercial fire alarm in a mixed use, occupied dwelling with a restaurant on the first floor. On arrival Chief1 confirmed heavy smoke in the building and request Fairmount Fire Company No.1, and Schooley's Mountain Fire Co.3 along with Long Valley First Aid Squad. Occupants of the residence were evacuated with the assistance of Washington Township Police Department. Companies gained entry using our Knox Box keys to limit damage to the commercial property. Initial crew stretched a precautionary line to the kitchen of the restaurant. Members located a small grease fire in the rear of the kitchen. Companies worked on scene for just over an hour.

Tonight Girl Scouts Sarah DiGabriele, Olivia Murrello, and Sarah Tupaczewski presented Long Valley Fire Company with holiday gifts for all of our members. On September 14 at 20:35 hrs., Long Valley, Schooley‘s Mountain, Fairmount Fire Companies with Long Valley First Aid were dispatched to a detached garage fire located at 14 East Maple Ave. Long Valley Fire Company Chief, who incidentally lives several doors away, arrived quickly, and struck a 2nd alarm on arrival due to the heavy volume of fire and close proximity of the home and another nearby dwelling. The 2nd alarm brought Chester, Budd Lake, and Flanders fire companies. Several handlines were put into operation and were able to knock down the bulk of the heavy fire. Intense overhaul was required. The frame garage as well as three automobiles were destroyed. One firefighter suffered an ankle injury and was transported to the hospital by EMS.

The Long Valley Fire Co. No.1 will be providing charging for electronics today. Anyone without power can come between 2PM and 7PM to charge their devices. Due to COVID protocols we are not able to have people enter our building. We will have a tent set up out front of our firehouse @ 5 Fairview Ave. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

On Monday April 20th Washington Township Emergency Services responded to a call for a residential structure fire at 4 Mountain View Ave. Long Valley Fire Co., Fairmount Fire Co., Schooley's Mt. Fire Co. and Long Valley First Aid Squad worked together alongside Washington Twp Police, and mutual aid companies from Califon, Chester, Flanders, and Hackettstown to extinguish the fire. Pottersville and Tri- County Fire Companies provided standby station coverage. The home’s residents were evacuated safely. Thank you to all who responded and helped keep our community safe. This is it! One of the Long Valley Fire Company's biggest fundraisers of the years...HOT DOG WEEKEND! We'll be there Saturday through Monday October 7-9 from 11:00 to 5:00. Come out to Ort Farm and enjoy delicious burgers, hot dogs, French fries, cold soft drinks & pop corn! Take a ride on the fire company train, take a hay ride, pick some pumpkins or try the giant corn maze. A real family friendly farm.
