The Longdale Police Department has been aware of power outages, I have been monitoring downed power lines, blown transformers, and blown fuses in the area.
OG&E was notified earlier this afternoon of the town wide outage, they informed me that the substation was down and being repaired, now that the substation has been repaired those of you still without power are due to the downed lines and other issues, OG&E has been notified and will be progressing on those issues as soon as they can.
I would like to take the time to remind everyone that these linemen are working diligently and have been out in this cold for the past two days, they are short staffed but have assured me that they have help from outside the state heading this way to try their best to fully restore power everywhere.
Thank you all for your continued patience, I have not encountered anyone that hasn’t been kind during this cold outage, as always in the event of an emergency dial 911, for non emergency Contact the Blaine County Sheriff’s office and request to speak with Longdale Police Department.
