I had an amazing experience running for ATPE State Treasurer. I am so proud of my friend, Jason Forbis! He will be an incredible leader as the 2021-22 State Treasurer.

Thank you, Chris Adams and Jerrica Liggins for being professional and worthy opponents. Thank you, ATPE staff, for all your help navigating this process. Much love to the State Officers for encouraging all of the candidates. Thank you, ATPE members, for your dedication to Texas public schools.

A very special thank you to Region 7 and North East Texas ATPE for your love and support. I could not have taken this journey without you.

Watch for me on the ballot in 2022! I am still DEDICATED to ATPE and I’m excited about our future.

Good morning, ATPE Members! In just a few days, you will see me in professional mode ready to give 110% to represent you as the next ATPE State Treasurer. Until then, I am relaxing and recharging. I am with family and friends feeding my soul and filling my cup so I will be ready to work for you.

I hope all educators are taking this small amount of down time to do the same. Find your happy place. Recharge your batteries. Take time for yourself, your family and your friends. Fill your cup so you will be ready to pour your love and excitement into our kids and schools.

The committee met Tuesday, May 11, to vote on several Senate bills, including some on which the committee has never accepted testimony.
