If you are in Longview come check this place out. My buddy Ruben has worked very hard to make this place a reality and his food is top notch. and community partners donated a record-breaking $15,385.00 and 6,000 pounds of Hams and Turkeys to Lower Columbia CAP's meals on wheels program this year - that's going to help bring a VERY happy holiday to a lot of people in our region!

On the 23rd I attended a state forestry board hearing in Longview and gave testimony. I would like to thank Senator Jeff Wilson for attending. I asked him to come hear what industry professionals had to say and its implications to our district. This rule change is not based in science and will cost over 2k jobs in the timber industry. It will have dire costs to small family owned tree farms. In fact it will make a lot of these tree farms get sold and be developed into housing lots. I encourage everyone to make their thoughts heard. This is being pushed by our governor and public lands commissioner. It is nothing more than a land grab and an attack on the timber industry. I support science based rule changes. There are no better stewards of the forest than the people who work in them everyday.
