Had a great time at Squirrel Fest with Sandy the Squirrel! And the fruit pizza from Lower Columbia School Gardens was a flavor explosion of berry goodness! YUM!

For too long, Cowlitz County's most important decisions have been made without a woman's voice on the Board of Commissioners.

Chelsea Chandler would change that.

She's a teacher, a working mom, and a longtime member of our community who would bring a different perspective to county government — one grounded in the everyday lives of Cowlitz County families.

Primary results are very positive. As a political newcomer, my strong performance in the initial results shows a path to victory for the November general election for Cowlitz County commissioner. This is especially encouraging when you consider that District 3 is usually a Republican stronghold. I earned 4,396 or 42.17% of the votes, around 1600 votes separate me from incumbent Rick Dahl. Now my race moves county wide and I NEED your support.

Running a successful campaign takes hard work, but it also requires money. I’m willing to do the work. I’m asking for your help to get the financial support necessary to build a strong campaign. That means creating campaign materials, radio & digital advertisements, connecting with people, and attending community events to inspire people to vote and to VOTE for ME.

I know local races can be easy to miss, but I want to call your attention to this one. Cause it's really important.

This friendly face is Chelsea Chandler 4 Cowlitz County. She's running for Cowlitz County commissioner, against incumbent Dahl. It's not an easy race, and I respect the hell out of her for running in this race.

Chelsea is smart, and that comes across pretty instantly when you talk to her. But the warmth she radiates it just as clear. Ask her a question, and the way she answers just shows how much she cares. There's this light, almost an excitement just to talk about the issues our county is facing. You love to see it.
