How did this person make a difference in your life?
"During my freshman year, I was always getting in trouble and causing problems. In my heart, I knew that it wasn’t the right thing to be doing, and she always knew how I felt; it’s like she could see right through me and see who I was at heart. She never once gave up on me and had always been right there when I needed her or wanted to open up with her about my life at home and school. She always checks in and makes sure to always offer a chance to talk and I find her to be a very comforting person and now, during my sophomore year, I have done better with my grades and being the person I’ve wanted to be because of her, she changed my point of view on school and being a better person, she’s someone I look up too and I would just like to thank her for being a very important person in my life. She pushes me to do my best when I don’t think I can, she supports me when I have lots of doubts, and she pushes me to do things out of my comfort zone because she believes in me when I don’t."

R.A. Long Cheerleading Summer Mini Cheer Camp has been canceled for the 2026 Summer season. For more information, please contact the R. A. Long ASB office at (360) 575-7128

Hi Mini Cheer Camp Families!

Thank you for your interest in our annual 4th of July Mini Cheer Camp. Unfortunately, due to scheduling and facility availability challenges this year, we did not receive enough registrations to hold the camp as planned. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event.

We know many young cheerleaders were looking forward to participating, and we are disappointed as well. We appreciate your understanding and support of our program.

Any registration fees that were paid will be refunded. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

While we won’t be able to host camp this summer, we will be bringing back our youth cheer camp during football season this fall. We look forward to sharing more information as plans are finalized.

Thank you again for your support of R.A. Long Cheer. We hope to see you at future cheer events!

Way to go, Longview Public Schools bands! Wishing you the best in your performance at the 2027 WMEA State Conference!

Great News! For the first time in Longview School District history, two of our bands have been selected to perform at the annual Washington Music Education Association conference in Yakima. Congratulations to Mt. Solo Middle School's Advanced Band and R.A. Long's Wind Ensemble for being chosen. Both groups will perform alongside other top bands from across our state in February of 2027.
