Dear Parents and Families of the Class of 2026,

We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for graduation day, which currently shows the possibility of rain on Saturday, June 6.

At this time, graduation will proceed at Memorial Stadium as scheduled, rain or shine. We encourage families and guests to plan accordingly for wet weather conditions.

In the event thunder and/or lightning is detected in the area, all students and attendees will be evacuated from the venue for safety reasons. The ceremony would resume no earlier than 30 minutes after the last occurrence of thunder or lightning.

If any delays or schedule changes become necessary, and the RA Long or Mark Morris’ graduation ceremony start time needs to be adjusted, updates will be posted on the Longview Public Schools page and at longviewschools.com. If there is bad weather on graduation day, please check those sources regularly for possible updates.

We appreciate your flexibility and support as we work to provide a safe and memorable graduation ceremony for our seniors and families.

Thank you,

Longview Public Schools
