💙 What is a Children’s Advocacy Center—and why does it matter?

When a child may have experienced abuse, they shouldn’t have to navigate a complicated system or repeatedly tell their story.

Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) bring law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, advocates, medical and mental health professionals, and forensic interviewers together to provide a coordinated, child-centered, trauma-informed response.

At CJAC, this collaboration helps ensure children and families receive the support and services they need while reducing additional trauma.

CJAC would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Sgt. Trevor Eades on his promotion with the Woodland Police Department! 🎉🚔

Trevor brings more than 20 years of public safety experience to this new role, including 16 years with the Longview Police Department before joining Woodland PD in 2025.

We are grateful for the dedicated law enforcement professionals who serve our communities and for the experience, leadership, and commitment they bring to the work each day.

Congratulations, Sgt. Eades, on this well-deserved promotion! CJAC wishes you continued success as you step into this new leadership role. 👏💙

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who helped make the Cowlitz CJAC First Annual Car Show such a tremendous success!

To every car owner who brought out their classic, custom, muscle, truck, or specialty vehicle—thank you for sharing your pride and passion with our community. Your incredible vehicles made this event one to remember.

To everyone who attended, cheered on the participants, visited with our vendors, and supported CJAC’s mission—you made all the difference. Seeing our community come together in support of local youth and families was truly inspiring.

A special thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, judges, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this inaugural event possible. We couldn’t have done it without you!

This was our very first car show, and because of your overwhelming support, we’re already excited about what’s to come. We look forward to making next year’s event even bigger, better, and filled with even more amazing cars and community spirit.
