Our Annual Campaign is here, and this year we are focusing on a simple but powerful truth: Every Family Deserves Safety.

Every day, Emergency Support Shelter stands alongside survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes as they navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Through shelter, advocacy, support services, and hope, we help survivors find safety and begin healing.

When you give to our Annual Campaign, you make that work possible. Your generosity helps ensure that no survivor has to face their journey alone and that life-saving services remain available when they are needed most.

We are deeply grateful for the support you continue to show ESS and our community. Together, we can create a future where every family has the opportunity to live free from violence and fear.

๐Ÿ’œ Donate today and help make safety possible for every family.

June is PTSD Awareness Month.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. For many survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes, the effects of trauma do not end when the abuse or violence stops.
PTSD can impact daily life in many ways, including anxiety, depression, nightmares, difficulty sleeping, hypervigilance, and challenges with trust and relationships. Healing takes time, support, and access to safe spaces.
At Emergency Support Shelter, we work alongside survivors every day as they navigate the lasting impacts of trauma. Through advocacy, shelter, crisis support, and community resources, we are committed to helping survivors find safety, hope, and healing.
This PTSD Awareness Month, we encourage our community to learn more about trauma, support survivors, and help break the stigma surrounding mental health.
You are not alone. Help is available.

We were recently sent photos from the Pillars of Strength and Crystal Apple Awards by the Cowlitz County Chamber of Commerce, and looking through them was such a wonderful reminder of how lucky we are to be surrounded by a community that supports us, believes in our mission, and recognizes the work we do every day.

We truly cannot say thank you enough. For every donation, every partnership, every volunteer hour, every encouraging word, and every person who stands beside us while we support survivors and individuals facing difficult times.

Your support makes this work possible, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of such a compassionate community. Thank you for everything.
