Please find below the Notice of Canvass that will be conducted by our Chairman.

This will be for the Primary Election Run-Off Results.

"SREC Members and Officers:

cc: Candidates for State Chairman and Vice Chairman

Republican Party of Texas Rule No. 41 (State Party Chairman and Vice Chairman) states in part that:

"...To be eligible, candidates for the office of State Chairman or Vice Chairman shall be required to file a statement of intent to run with the SREC Secretary at least ten (10) days prior to the first General Session of the State Convention."

As the first General Session of the State Convention will be on Thursday, June 11, ten days prior would be Monday, June 1.

In accordance with RPT Rule No. 41, the following candidates have filed a statement of intent to run (dates and times that declarations were received are noted):

D'rinda Randall for Chairman (February 15, 7:30 p.m. CST)

David Covey for Vice Chairman (February 16, 8:53 a.m. CST)

Bill Eastland for Chairman (May 26, 12:47 a.m. CDT) and Vice Chairman (March 26, 12:09 a.m. CDT)

Brooks McKenzie, PhD, for both Chairman and Vice Chairman (May 7, 10:51 a.m. CDT)

We need you to do your civic duty one last time if you didn’t get a chance to early vote for the primary runoff election , this sets the field for our general election in November. if you’re a registered Republican in Gregg County, on Tuesday you can go to any location, please don’t sit this one out. We need your voice and your vote.
