Yesterday we held an open house to reveal our new Garden Pavilion at the Maude Cobb Convention Center.

This beautiful outdoor space can serve as a stand-alone event space, provide a covered reception venue for events taking place in the J.R. Curtis, Jr. Memorial Garden for the Blind or as a supplementary portion to a rental of the Maude Cobb Convention Center.

If you have questions about the space or how to book it, give the Longview Convention Complex a call at 903-237-1230.

REMINDER - All three recreation centers (Broughton, Green Street, and Paula Martin Jones) are closed today, Thursday, May 28, to provide department-wide training.

We look forward to serving you resuming Friday, May 29.

In the past month, we've recevied word of a number of scams targeting Longview residents and claiming to be from various departments with the City. These include specific efforts to misguide those needing housing assistance and our communities builders and developers.

As technology evolves, so do the tactics used by fraudsters. Today's bad actors leverage advanced digital tools to create highly convincing attacks, often replicating official city language, email addresses, and logos.

Please stay alert, and if you have any questions or doubts about a message claiming to be from the City, always check with us first before taking any action.
