The Oasis needs volunteers! 💛

You can help provide a clean, welcoming environment and essential care for neighbors experiencing homelessness. Current volunteer needs include:

✂️ Barber services to provide haircuts
🚿 Shower cleaning to help keep showers ready between uses
🧺 Laundry assistance with approximately 15–20 loads each day

The Sharing Center is proud to announce Lee A. Johnson as the new Chairman of our Board of Directors. Lee has served on The Sharing Center Board for more than five years and brings decades of leadership experience and a longstanding commitment to serving the Central Florida community.

Lee has been part of the AdventHealth team for 40 years and currently serves as Special Advisor, Medical Education. Throughout her career, she has helped develop and lead programs spanning rehabilitation, sports medicine, clinical operations, physician strategy, and other areas supporting patient care and organizational growth.

Her commitment to service extends well beyond her professional career. Lee’s community involvement has focused on children, education, and homelessness, causes that closely align with The Sharing Center’s mission. She also serves as a Take Stock mentor to high school students in Seminole County.

“As I step into this new role as Chairman, I am honored to continue serving an organization that has meant so much to me over the past five years,” said Lee. “I look forward to working alongside The Sharing Center’s leadership, board, staff, volunteers, and supporters as we build on 40 years of service and continue creating hope, dignity, and opportunity for neighbors throughout our community.”

The Sharing Center is grateful for Lee’s continued commitment and looks forward to her leadership as the organization continues serving neighbors facing hunger, hardship, and homelessness.

Help fill Thanksgiving boxes for neighbors in our community. 🧡

The Sharing Center is collecting food for our upcoming Thanksgiving Food Box Distribution, and we need your help! All donations must be received by November 6th.

Items being collected include:
- Canned yams
- Canned corn
- Canned green beans
- Stuffing
- Mashed potatoes or au gratin potatoes
- Cake mix
- Coffee or tea
- Jello or pudding
- Turkey gravy
- $15 ALDI gift cards
Please, no glass items.

You can drop off donations at The Sharing Center Pantry Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
