Also on Friday was the graduation of ProjectRise cohort 30, and of all of the ceremonies I've had the opportunity to be a part of, this one was the most emotional for me. Not just from the testimonials, but also the collages made by the alumni demonstrating progress, inspiration, and vision - a recurring theme was that we are more than our scars. It is a joy to bear witness and partake in the continual transformation of the participants of The Sharing Center's programs through the technology literacy training and computer equipment we provide.

At our Good Samaritan Breakfast, we had the privilege of recognizing several outstanding partners and leaders whose compassion, service, and commitment have helped strengthen our community.

We were honored to present a Spirit of Partnership Award to AdventHealth

For years, AdventHealth has helped bring comfort, dignity, hope, and healing to neighbors throughout our community through its ongoing partnership and commitment to whole-person care.

Their dedication continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of countless individuals and families we serve every year.

Thank you, AdventHealth, for standing alongside our mission and helping create lasting change.

Our hearts are still full from last week’s Good Samaritan Breakfast!

The room was bursting with so much warmth, connection, and encouragement! Kicking off our 40th anniversary together was a beautiful reminder of the incredible people who have built and sustained this mission for four decades.

We came together to honor that history, but the sheer depth of your generosity completely took our breath away. You raised an incredible $353,000!

But what does that number really mean?

It means hundreds of local families won't have to face the terrifying fear of homelessness. It means parents can put nutritious food on the table, utilities will stay turned on, and individuals experiencing their hardest days will find a safe place to land.

You did that!

Whether you gave a financial gift or simply shared the priceless gift of your time and presence, you made the morning unforgettable.

We are so grateful for all the smiling faces in the photos below. A direct reflection of the joy and community that filled the room!

Volunteer Spotlight: Kathy Anderson ✨

Kathy has been faithfully serving at The Sharing Center since 2002. What started with sorting hangers and organizing clothing in the thrift store has grown into more than 20 years of consistent, heartfelt service.

After a friend encouraged her to continue volunteering when another thrift shop closed, Kathy found her place here and never looked back. Today, she serves three days a week and even inspires others from St. Richard’s Episcopal Church to join her in giving back.

For Kathy, volunteering is not just something she does. It is a passion and a purpose.
