It’s that time of year again! We know school just let out for Summer break – but we would love to help get your student prepared for next year!

The 7th Annual Longwood Police Department Back to School Event is Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm!

This event is brought to you by Bryan Builders, LLC and other community partners such as AutoNation, Orlando Health, Walmart, Fancy Cuts Barbershop, Longwood First Baptist Church and Sir Speedy of Longwood.

Ticket distribution will begin Monday, June 15th! The tickets will be available for school age students with a parent or guardian as follows:

🚨 6/15/2026 to 6/26/2026-- City of Longwood Residents, Lyman High School Students & Longwood Elementary School Students
🚨 6/29/2026 to 7/10/2026-- All of the above, and residents of Seminole County
🚨 7/13/2026 to 7/24/2026-- All of the above, and all residents of Central Florida

You may come to the police department at 235 W. Church Ave, Longwood, Florida 32750 during business hours (8am to 4pm) Monday through Friday, with your documentation verifying you and your child's address and/or school enrollment for the 2026/2027 school year. You will be able to register your child to receive a free backpack, Shoe Station gift card, school supplies, and raffle prizes. The first 200 students to register will also be eligible to receive a free haircut from our partners at Fancy Cuts Barbershop!

⚠️⚠️ **Students MUST BE PRESENT AT THE EVENT on August 2nd to collect their backpack, gift card, school supplies and be eligible for raffle prizes.** ⚠️⚠️

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who participated in yesterday's Senior Summer Bingo Event - marking our highest attendance thus far! From the exceptional catering provided by Chianti's of Longwood to the abundance of laughter, it was a resounding success!

We are hiring Police Officers! We offer a very competitive starting wage package that includes incentives for experience, education, and transfer bonuses. An officer with no experience will start at $63,532.69 annually, while those prior experience are eligible for up to 12% above the starting annual pay. Do not waste time, we have a limited amount of openings!
