🚨 BURN BAN NOW IN EFFECT – SEMINOLE COUNTY 🚨
A countywide Burn Ban is now in effect as of April 24, 2026, due to dry conditions and increased wildfire risk.
🔥 What’s prohibited:
- Bonfires & campfires
- Burning yard debris or vegetative waste
- Any outdoor burning not permitted by the Florida Forest Service
✅ What’s allowed:
- Above-ground charcoal, gas, and electric grills
- Barrel-type barbecue smokers
⚠️ Please use caution:
Even with allowed grills, avoid use near wooded areas and fully extinguish materials after cooking.
The Burn Ban will remain in place until conditions improve.
🌿 Help reduce wildfire risk:
- Clear dead vegetation and debris around your home
- Keep roofs and gutters free of leaves
- Have an emergency plan ready
- Use caution with ci******es and outdoor equipment
