2026 NACAA Young Professional’s Award

What it honor it’s been to work for the farmers and growers of Lonoke County. I want to thank everyone who has worked with me over the last couple of years and I look forward to continuing the hard work we have started!

Last night I was honored to win the NACAA Young Professional Award. Without the support of my wife and the people I work with none of this would be possible. While I’ve only been in this position for two years I feel like I’ve been able to make huge strides bettering everyone that Im able to come into contact with.

Thank you again to everyone, I’m truly blessed.

Last two stops on the farm tour today!

Mitchell Rodeo Co. great family. The story they tell and how they have become one of the best in the world raising and breeding bucking horses is amazing! From the army, to being a pilot, to world class bucking horses!

Allen Gate & Panel is a family owned and ran company here in southern Arkansas! It’s on land that was deeded to the family back in the 1800s and is still here today growing every year. These guys do anything and everything when it comes to livestock panels or gates! They also have a red angus farm, they get to R&D new products on, which are some of the best bred lines in the county.

Today starts day 2 for our State ACAAA meeting. ACAAA is our state agriculture Ag agents association.

Day one was highlighted with a great talk from Steve “Wildman” Wilson! Most know him from his time with Arkansas Game and Fish!

Day two we start out at 180 pipe. Luigi has taken this old abandoned organic tomato farm and turned it into a full blown vegetable/herb hydroponic farm. They source everything in the company from Arkansas!

One of the beauties of being in the association is getting to see other things outside of my normal area! Stay tuned more to come on our farm tour today!

EPA Required Dicamba Training
EPA has recently registered three dicamba products for in crop, over the top use in dicamba tolerant cotton and soybeans - Engenia (BASF), Stryax (Bayer) and Tavium (Syngenta). The EPA requires completion of approved applicator training for all users of these products. Each registrant is offering approved online training modules that meet EPA requirements. Completing any one of these modules will satisfy the requirements for applying all three products. Each site will likely require creation of an account. Here are the links to access each company's dicamba training module. At this time, The Tavium module is live and the Engenia and Stryax modules will be live soon so periodically check back on those two sites for availability. Below is the available module link for Tavium!

EPA Required Paraquat Training
All users of any Paraquat products must be trained and certified every three years. This includes applicators (ground and air), mixer loaders, equipment cleaners and others who will be handling and opening paraquat products. Each must be a certified applicator, have their own license and cannot use paraquat under someone else's license. Here are the steps to access the training. Remember that you will need to create an account and provide your applicator license number to access the training, take the quiz and obtain your certificate. There is no cost for this training. Below is the link to obtain the certificate!

Training must be completed each year before use. Here is how to take the training for both. Below is the link to obtain the training and step by step instructions to find the courses!
